We seek out suppliers who share a thoughtful approach to cultivation and sourcing, including responsible pearl farming practices that avoid unnecessary over-cultivation and help protect the waters in which pearls are grown. By selecting carefully, producing intentionally, and creating pieces designed to be worn for years, we aim to make beauty with a lighter footprint.

Our search for beautiful materials has no single origin.We carefully source luminous cultured pearls, natural gemstones, and precious metals from trusted suppliers and specialists around the world, selecting each for its quality, beauty, and individual character.
Different waters create different pearls. Different landscapes create different stones. Each carries the character of where and how it was formed. We bring those materials together through thoughtful design in the United States and meticulous handcraftsmanship by skilled artisans.

Pearls are at the heart of JUNIQ.X. Formed slowly within living mollusks, cultured pearls develop layer by layer, creating the depth, softness, and distinctive glow that make each one unique. No two pearls are exactly alike. Subtle variations in shape, surface, color, and overtone are part of their natural formation—and part of what gives pearl jewelry its character.
Our collections feature South Sea, Australian South Sea, Tahitian, Edison freshwater, and Aurora freshwater pearls, alongside organically shaped freshwater baroque pearls.
South Sea pearls
embody timeless elegance, prized for their luminous glow, smooth surfaces, and naturally generous size. Australian South Sea pearls, among the rarest and most coveted, are celebrated for their exceptional luster, substantial presence, and refined white-to-silver tones.
Tahitian pearls
Tahitian pearls are celebrated for their naturally dark body colors and extraordinary range of overtones. Silver, green, blue, aubergine, rose, and peacock tones may appear and shift as the pearl moves through the light. That complexity is what makes Tahitian pearls so captivating.
Edison freshwater pearls
Edison freshwater pearls are known for their impressive size, luminous surfaces, and expressive range of colors. JUNIQ.X is particularly drawn to their purple spectrum—from soft lavender and rose-purple to deeper violet and metallic aubergine tones.Their color and presence give classic pearl jewelry an unmistakably contemporary character.
Aurora freshwater pearls
Aurora freshwater pearls are selected for their luminous surfaces, delicate iridescence, and soft interplay of color, bringing a fresh and contemporary expression to classic pearl beauty.
Baroque pearls
Baroque pearls remind us that beauty does not need to be perfectly symmetrical to feel refined. Every curve, contour, and subtle variation gives the pearl an identity of its own. Their natural palette can range from luminous whites and soft creams to blush, lavender, and deeper iridescent tones, making each pearl even more distinctive. At JUNIQ.X, freshwater baroque pearls are selected not despite their irregular shapes and varied hues, but because of them.
THE JUNIQ.X PEARL SELECTION
Beyond a Letter Grade
Worldwide, pearl grading is not governed by one universal AAA or AAAA system. Standards and terminology can vary between farms, suppliers, brands, and laboratories. At JUNIQ.X, we take a more considered approach. Each pearl is evaluated through the qualities that shape its appearance and character:
Luster · Surface · Shape · Color · Size
Luster is especially important to us, the brightness, depth, and definition of light reflected from a pearl. We also consider surface quality, color and overtone, shape and size. To make choosing a pearl easier and more transparent, we organize selected pearls into three JUNIQ.X quality levels:
Understanding Our Standard
Pearls express quality differently depending on their variety. A South Sea pearl, Tahitian pearl, Edison freshwater pearl, and baroque pearl should not be judged by one rigid visual formula. Each is considered within the natural characteristics of its pearl type.
Size is also shown separately from quality. A larger pearl is not automatically a higher JUNIQ.X selection. When it comes to shape, just as a perfectly round pearl is not automatically more beautiful than an extraordinary baroque pearl. purple edison pearls and tahitian pearls, inifite colors and overtones, cannot grade based on that
Superior, Magnificent, and Noble are JUNIQ.X internal pearl selections. They are not independent laboratory grades or certificates.
Where a piece is accompanied by an independent gemological laboratory report, the laboratory and report information will be stated separately on the individual product page.
INDEPENDENT LABORATORY REPORTS
JUNIQ.X does not issue its own gemological certificates.
For selected pearls and pearl jewelry, an independent laboratory report may accompany the piece and can be requested. Reports may be issued by third-party gemological laboratories such as GUILD Gem Laboratories or Pearl Science Laboratory (PSL), Japan, depending on the pearl and availability. Where an independent laboratory report is included or available for request, this will be clearly stated on the individual product page.

We carefully select natural gemstones for their color, texture, transparency, pattern, and individual character. Some feel quiet and grounding. Others bring vivid color and energy. Throughout history, gemstones have also carried cultural and personal associations with different qualities, emotions, and meanings. At JUNIQ.X, we embrace those associations as a form of personal expression rather than a promise of physical or therapeutic effects.
Paired with pearls, gemstones introduce contrast, color, and endless possibilities for layering and personalization.

925 STERLING SILVER
Our 925 sterling silver is composed of 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with other metals to provide the strength and durability needed for jewelry. Its cool tone creates a natural contrast with dark Tahitian pearls, colorful gemstones, and luminous white pearls.
18K GOLD VERMEIL
Our 18K gold vermeil is crafted by layering 18K gold over a foundation of 925 sterling silver. The result brings together the warmth and richness of gold with the quality of a precious-metal base beneath. Unlike gold-plated jewelry made over common base metals, vermeil begins with sterling silver.
18K GOLD
Our 18K gold is composed of 75% pure gold, alloyed with other metals to give it the strength and durability suited for fine jewelry. Unlike vermeil, the gold is continuous throughout the piece rather than layered over a sterling silver base, making it a lasting choice for jewelry designed to be worn and treasured over time.
NATURAL VARIATION
Your Piece Is Uniquely Yours
Natural materials are never completely identical. Pearls may vary slightly in shape, surface, tone, and overtone. Gemstones may show variations in color, pattern, transparency, and inclusions. These differences are not manufacturing defects. They are part of the individuality of natural materials and mean that the piece you receive may vary subtly from the piece photographed.
